It's official! 
The Wisp Ski Resort opens up the slopes for it's 56th operating season.  Yes, we did have some warm weather earlier this week, but the temps fell Thursday evening and they fired up the snow makers and have been cranking out the man made snow ever since.  But not to be out done, Mother Nature turned on her snow machine yesterday and has put down a thin layer of the white stuff.  My daughter Christine has been in training for the past 2 weekends for the Willy Wisp School.  This program is to teach the very young how to ski and provide some day care while the rest of the family enjoys the rest of the mountain.  We are all excited as today is the day that Christine will find out if she makes the cut or not.  Keep your fingers crossed.
